Cape to Vicfalls Safari

Explore Cape Town

Day 1. Explore Cape Town After the pick up from the airport, we show you Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, on a short city tour. Spend the rest of the day at leisure (meals at own expense, except breakfast). Day 2. Visit Cape Point Nature Reserve Today we take a leisurely drive to Cape Point, the south- westernmost point of Africa (meals at own expense, except breakfast). Day 3. Depart Cape Town An early start takes us via the Cederberg Mountain range through Namaqualand (view the spectacular wildflowers in spring) to the Orange River, which is the border river of Namibia and South Africa. The night is spent on the banks of the river in “Fiddler´s Creek Camp”. BLD (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 4. Orange River The day can be spent river rafting (optional: 10 Euro) or hiking in the lunar landscape of the area along the Orange River. Experience the Richtersveld, a mountain desert with unique fauna and flora. BLD Day 5. Fish River Canyon This is the second largest of its kind in the world. Watching the sunset at the edge of the canyon is an unforgettable experience. BLD Day 6.& 7. Sesriem and Sossusvlei We spend two days exploring the Namib Desert, one of the oldest and most spectacular deserts in the world. We spend one whole morning hiking to Sossusvlei, a dried out lake in the middle of the desert. This area boasts some of the largest sand dunes in the world and we enjoy sundowners at the top of one of the spectacular dunes. The nights are spent at Sesriem camp. BLD

Cape Town, with its well-known landmarks Table Mountain and Cape of Good Hope Orange River canoeing through the harsh landscape of the Richtersveld Fish River Canyon, the second largest of its kind in the world Experience the natural wonders of Sossousvlei, a dry desert lake surrounded by giant dunes The Namib-Naukluft Park, one of the biggest conservation areas in the world Swakopmund, a remote seaside resort Damaraland with its desert- dwelling elephants Twyfelfontein with some of the oldest bushmen etchings in Southern Africa Etosha Pan National Park, one of the most ecologically important game reserves in the world with animals like lion, cheetah, elephant, black rhino and big herds of antelopes Mahango Game reserve with its lush vegetation, attracting an abundance of bird life and a variety of wild game, including hippos Explore the awe-inspiring wilderness area of the Okavango Delta in mokoros (local canoes) and on foot Bush camping in the Caprivi Strip near Mudumu National Park Explore the floodplains of the Chobe National Park with its unparalleled wildlife The unforgettable Victoria Falls at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Explore Namibia, Botswana and the Okavango Delta

Day 8. Namib - Naukluft Park We cross one of the biggest Nature Reserves in the world. Here we set up our remote bush camp near Blutkopje and enjoy the vastness of the desert. BLD Day 9. Swakopmund We arrive in the holiday seaside resort of Namibia, which we will have time to explore by day and night. We spend the night in bungalows, a welcome break from camping (dinner at a local restaurant at own expense). BL Day 10. Damaraland and Twyfelfontein After breakfast we depart for Damaraland with its many attractions like the Burnt mountain and the Petrified Forest. Here the well-adapted desert elephants are still regularly sighted. We will have the opportunity to view some of the most unique bushmen etchings at Twyfelfontein. BLD Day 11.-13. Etosha Pan National Park A highlight of the tour, at over 22000 km² Etosha Pan is one of the most important game reserves in the world. Here game drives and overnight stops, are dictated by the movement of the many different animals like lion, cheetah, black rhino, elephant and big herds of antelopes. Here we will also have the opportunity to observe the animals around the floodlit waterholes at night. We spend the mornings and afternoons game viewing and bird watching. The hot midday hours can be spent relaxing at the swimming pool. BLD Day 14. Rundu After a short game drive in the morning we make our way to Rundu, where our campsite is situated right on the Kavango River, overlooking southern Angola. Here the locals will demonstrate some tribal dancing and a scrumptious buffet meal will be prepared for us. (This is an extra cost - 10 Euro pp) BL Day 15.-17. The Okavango Delta Three nights are spent in the Okavango Delta, which is one of the world’s last natural wonders. We explore this waterway paradise with its unparalleled wildlife on mokoros (local canoes). Game walks, are led by local guides in the mornings and evenings. (This excursion is at own expense 140 Euro pp). BLD

Explore the Capri Strip, Kasane, Chobe and Livingstone

Day 18. Caprivi Strip We drive through this unique area with its herds of elephants to overnight near Mudumu National Park in a unique bush camp. BLD Day 19. Kasane, Chobe At Kasane you will have the opportunity to go on a sundowner game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River or/and undertake a game drive in an open 4x4 through Chobe National Park, one of the best game viewing reserves in Africa (these activities are your own expense, 30 Euro each or a combo of both for 40 Euro). BLD Day 20.-21. Livingstone, Zambia An early departure takes us to the famous Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Africa. Here you can talk a walk in the nature reserve along the falls, try some optional White Water Rafting, Bungi Jumping or take in the spectacular scenery on a helicopter flight (all optional). B END OF THE TOUR AFTER BREAKFAST ON DAY 22! A transfer to Johannesburg or Cape Town can be booked with us.

Stage highlights:
We visit the Caprivi Strip, Kasane, Chobe, Livingstone in Zambia and you get to see one of the seven wonders of the world, the breath taking Victoria Falls.
