Wildlife Encounters Walking Trail 3

Day 1

Pick up from Johannesburg, Pretoria or Nelspruit during the morning. Transfer by microbus to Transfrontiers' Base Camp outside Kruger National Park. Settle into twin bedded en suite tents and followed by lunch. Afternoon orientation walk with experienced guides. Return for dinner and overnight.

Transfer through Mpumalanga

Stage duration:Wednesday

Day 2

Depart with microbus for Kruger Park for a full day of game viewing with breakfast in the Park. Return to basecamp for dinner and overnight.

Game viewing in Kruger Park.

Stage duration:Thursday

Day 3

Breakfast at app. 7.00 A.M. followed by departure to Transfrontiers' satellite trail camps (e.g. Manyeleti). Morning game drive followed by settling in camp, lunch and siesta till midday. Light lunch. Afternoon walk in 'Big Five' country.

Day 4

Early morning walking trail of app. 4 hours Breakfast, siesta followed by a light lunch. Afternoon combination walk and night drive in an open vehicle. Dinner and overnight.

Night drive in open 4x4.

Stage duration:Saturday

Day 5

Follows the pattern of the previous days. However the trails guide might include a game drive with open vehicle. Activities depend on game sightings and density.

Day 6

A short morning activity followed by packing up. Breakfast at app. 08:00 a.m. Transfer through the Park to link up with transfers to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Nelspruit.
